WINE JEREZ BRANDY XIMENEZ ESPINOLA CIGARS CLUB Nº1 70 CL
Distilled from wines of sunny Pedro Ximénez grape 100%, with a yield close to 90 liters of Brandy per ton of fresh grapes. Authentic certified raisin wine is distilled, in order to obtain "Fine Tars of Altar", capable of providing a "Distilled Wine Brandy" with organoleptic characteristics different from those of any other distillate.
Until in 1948 this solera was founded with three 250-liter barrels, no winegrower dedicated to Pedro Ximénez, had done something similar, and even today this solera is the only one in its type that is known in Spain.
After distillation, this product spends 12 years in chestnut cask of 750 liters capacity and another 12 years in American oak cask of 250 liters. Once the precise quality for the cigars of Fortaleza Nº1 has been selected, one more year passes, unifying the whole obtained. The sum of periods of old age, mean that the average age of each sack would be not less than 25 years.
Ximénez-Spínola is a small Jerez family winery with little production but very high quality. Their brandies excel especially.
